Zachary May

Sometimes the best way to get to know someone is through the eyes of those who knew them best. Here is what his older brother said about Zach.

Zachary Paul May was a very special soul. I often wonder what kind of man he would have grown into.
When Zach was a young adult, confidence grew inside him. He became a very genuine and charming young man. If you knew Zachary, you would call yourself lucky. Imagine a person who is constantly enthusiastic, an individual blessed with the natural ability to be joyful. That was Zach. Natural and genuine. People fell in love with him wherever he went. His  unique combination of humor, charm, honesty and confidence made Zachary a special person. For a long time to come, I will wonder what Zach would have become.

These words come from Zachary’s best friend.

Zach strolled into Miss Scott’s first grade classroom with his yellow Cheerios backpack and a big smile on his face with the ease of someone walking into a room of old friends. Only this classroom was not full of old friends, this was Zach’s first day and he was the “new” kid.

Now more than 20 years after our initial meeting we have shared nearly all of life’s peaks and valleys. I consider myself to be so incredibly blessed to call Zach May my best friend. We had, and continue to have, a unique relationship that transcends death and continues to shape the way I live my life.
