Zachary is now scheduled for another biopsy
Dear Zachary Wellness Team,
The last e-mail I sent out I asked for help. WOW. We are collectively a very well connected, caring group of people. I can't begin to thank you for all your efforts in so many ways. It has been overwhelming in a wonderful way. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Zachary is now scheduled for another biopsy surgery at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis on May 15th. Dennis Blom, M.D. is a fellowship trained surgeon who will be performing the operation. As you will recall, retrieving a successful biopsy containing the 'smoking gun' with some of the actual cancer cells that are generating the high metabolic activity readings is the key to achieving an accurate pathology report and diagnosis. All of this of course is critical for creating an effective treatment regimen.
Aside from the local team of Corinna Repetto, M.D., Jacquiline Joyce, M.D. and the folks at the Indiana University Medical Center, we are also adding Julie Vose, M.D. and the lymphoma program at the University of Nebraska to the effort. Dr. Vose is the #2 lymphoma expert in the U.S. and has a significant history in treating such cancers. We will also be sending biopsy material to the Weisenthal Cancer Group in Huntington Beach, California which does functional cancer cell profiling in order to identify which anti-cancer drugs have the highest probability of being effective in treatment.
We will look forward to sharing an update with you at the end of May.
Again, thank you for your continued thoughts and good energy.
love,
Ann

Zach's Wish
There was no question in Zachary’s mind that his purpose in life was to be used as a tool, as an instrument for good. Even as things were really becoming dire he never forgot that his life was about expenditure. His desire never waned—I want to help others.
